AMD Expands Socket AM4 Lineup with New Ryzen 7 5700X3D and 5000GT

Sales of the as-yet unannounced AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 5 5600GT, and 5500GT processors have begun in Europe.

AMD is not yet ready to retire the Socket AM4 platform, which appeared on the market 7 years ago. Furthermore, the manufacturer continues to release new processors for it. For example, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D became available for sale at European retailers before its formal announcement, representing a slower version of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor. Along with it, APUs from the Ryzen 5000GT series have appeared for sale.

According to retailers, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D is an eight-core and 16-thread processor with 96 MB of L3 cache memory, increased by the 3D V-Cache technology. The maximum frequency of the chip is 4.10 GHz, which is 400 MHz lower than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D model. Unfortunately, retailers do not provide information about the power consumption of the new product. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D is priced by European retailers at €271 (including VAT). It is approximately 15-20% cheaper than the older model. It should be noted that the Ryzen 5000X3D processors do not support overclocking, so it will not be possible to raise the frequency of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D to the level of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D while saving about €40.
