NVIDIA will introduce the RTX 40 Super lineup before CES 2024

Previous leaks indicated that NVIDIA is preparing to release video cards in the RTX 40 Super series. These will replace some models of the RTX 40 series. According to new insider information, the release of these new graphics accelerators will not happen at CES 2024, but a bit earlier.

ITHome, citing insider Bopantang, reports that NVIDIA will present the RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Super, and RTX 4070 Ti Super on January 8th — two days before the start of CES 2024. It seems that NVIDIA has other plans for the actual press conference. For example, the company may present new artificial intelligence accelerators, considering that this is currently the most promising direction both in terms of technological development and in attracting additional investments.

Regarding the new consumer video cards, according to information leaked online, the RTX 4080 Super will be 3–5% more powerful than its predecessor. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will be faster than the base version by 15%. The RTX 4070 Super will outpace the RTX 4070 by about the same percentage. Overall, the RTX 40 Super lineup can be considered a minor update. However, if NVIDIA also maintains retail prices at the non-Super version level, it will be a great gesture from the company, showing that the consumer segment is not forgotten in favor of the business of AI accelerators.
