Triton Neo 16: Powerhouse Gaming Laptop

Acer has presented the new Predator Triton Neo 16 gaming laptop, featuring high-performance hardware and a “cybersports” display. Customers can choose from several chips and graphics cards, including the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. The company shared more details about the laptop’s features and announced its price.

The laptop is equipped with a 16-inch OLED display, offering resolutions of either 3200×2000 or 2560×1600 pixels (16:10), a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The hardware platform of the new model comes in several configurations with Intel Core Ultra 7/9 processors (with a liquid metal thermal interface cooling system) and NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 4070.

Triton Neo 16 laptop includes up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a PCIe 4.0 SSD with up to 2 TB of storage. Other features noted by Acer include support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and Optimus technologies, as well as the Purifier Voice 2.0 noise-canceling algorithm for the microphone. Additionally, the laptop has a power profile switching function to adjust the hardware performance. The new model will be available for sale next March starting at $1699.

The Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 (PTN16-51) is a gaming laptop released in December 2023. It features a screen-to-body ratio of approximately 78.9% and measures 358.5 x 262.4 x 19.9 mm. The laptop is equipped with high-performance components, including Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. These components are specifically designed to support demanding games and creative applications, with dedicated AI acceleration capabilities.

The display of the Predator Triton Neo 16 is a 16-inch OLED panel, offering a choice of either a 3200×2000 or a 2560×1600 pixel resolution, with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 165 Hz refresh rate. This display covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring vibrant and accurate color representation. In terms of brightness, the display supports a maximum of 400 nits.

For cooling, the laptop utilizes a modern system with a 5th generation AeroBlade fan and liquid metal thermal grease, ensuring efficient heat dissipation during intense gaming or creative work sessions. Additionally, it features the Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 software with AI capabilities and the PredatorSense utility for device management. The laptop also offers one-month access to Xbox Game Pass, supports DLSS 3.5 technology, and is NVIDIA-Studio certified, making it well-suited for both gamers and creators.
